Princess Bookie's cover contest for Freefall

Click the original Freefall cover to go to the contest:

Princess Bookie is running a contest to redesign the cover of Freefall, it sounded like fun so I gave it a quick (er, not that great, sorry!) shot.

Here's the original cover and synopsis:

How do you come back from the point of no return?

Seth McCoy was the last person to see his best friend Isaac alive, and the first to find him dead. It was just another night, just another party, just another time where Isaac drank too much and passed out on the lawn. Only this time, Isaac didn’t wake up.

Convinced that his own actions led to his friend’s death, Seth is torn between turning his life around . . . or losing himself completely.

Then he meets Rosetta: so beautiful and so different from everything and everyone he's ever known. But Rosetta has secrets of her own, and Seth will soon realize he isn’t the only one who needs saving . . .

Here's my cover... the boy on the left I was thinking was more his friend Isaac... Seth being the one in the middle. I liked the breaking glass at the bottom of the original, so I left that.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Wow! I love how you even used the original at the bottom. Fabulous job!

  2. Thanks for looking. Are you kidding, I love your graphic STUFF :-) x x x

  3. I really like your cover. Much more imaginative than the original, but I don't see where to vote for it on Princess Bookie's site. I'll check again. Thanks for visiting my site. Love your name!

  4. What a great cover. I love the way you meld the different elements together. I wonder what you'd do for Lethal Inheritance, my ya fantasy novel.
If you're interested, you can read ch 1 on my blog

  5. Thanks guys XD

And publishersearch... I did in fact check out your first chapter... and I can think of a couple of fun ideas... you should hold a cover design contest! I may mock one up just for the heck of it XD
