 The Mark of Athena
by Rick Riordan
Release Date: October 2nd, 2012

Book 3 in the Heroes of Olympus series.

The only thing I can really say about this is... if you haven't read these books, READ THEM.

Amazon Synopsis:
In The Son of Neptune, Percy, Hazel, and Frank met in Camp Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Camp Halfblood, and traveled to the land beyond the gods to complete a dangerous quest. The third book in the Heroes of Olympus series will unite them with Jason, Piper, and Leo. But they number only six--who will complete the Prophecy of Seven?

The Greek and Roman demigods will have to cooperate in order to defeat the giants released by the Earth Mother, Gaea. Then they will have to sail together to the ancient land to find the Doors of Death. What exactly are the Doors of Death? Much of the prophecy remains a mystery. . . .
With old friends and new friends joining forces, a marvelous ship, fearsome foes, and an exotic setting, The Mark of Athena promises to be another unforgettable adventure by master storyteller Rick Riordan.

*JUST A NOTE* I've added an audiobook clip to the Wake review I did, for anyone who is interested:

  1. I desperately need to start this series, and I have no good reason for not having picked it up by now!

My WoW pick this week is Alice in the Sky With Diamonds by Alice M. Grey!

  2. Wow, a very powerful cover. Sounds good too.

  3. YES.
    Yes yes yes yes yes.
But I swear if anything happens to Percy and Annabeth (OTP of my heart) I'm going to flip a table!

    Here’s my WoW

  4. I'm so behind on this series! I loved the original Percy Jackson series, so when The Lost Hero was released I read it right away. But I haven't read the second one yet, and I can't remember much from the first. I really think Rick Riordan writes some great mythology books.

  5. This book is definitely making the rounds today, but how can you go wrong with Riordan? Thanks for sharing.

    Here's mine

  6. I cannot wait for this book!!!!!!!

Honestly, I think I enjoy this series more than the original Percy Jackson series.... though, those were just so dang good!

  7. Me too, even though I have to read the 2nd book still. But I've got my preorder in and waiting
