Favorite Halloween tradition? I think it was always the deciding what I wanted to be and getting the costume. Usually store bought, but still. I loved deciding what to dress up as!
Where I grew up, instead of trick-or-treating, we trunk-or-treat. A whole bunch of families at my church pull up in the parking lot, open their trunks, dress up, and decorate their cars. Then the kids go from car to car to get candy. It's really fun and less risky, traffic-wise. I'm too old, of course, but I like to go to hang out. (And the other adults take pity on me and give me candy anyways.)
My husband takes our son trick-or-treating and I stay home to hand out candy. Since we get very few trick-or-treaters, this means I watch scary movies and eat the Almond Joys!
Thanks for the giveaway! Honestly, my favorite tradition for Halloween has turned into hosting this event on my blog. I don't do much for Halloween since I'm between the years of being a child and having my own children.
hmmm... what I really like to do is lock the doors and hide inside the house, with the porch lights out ... and eat all the Halloween candy myself. LOL
